Weather proofing
A weather proofing product designed to sit between a tile and an object that protrudes from the roof. Where a roof meets a protrusion, a soaker is installed. The soaker is fitted underneath the tile but will raise up the edge of the object to prevent water from entering the roof space and causing damage to the roof structure.
Using a soaker will ensure that water will run down the join of the tiles and the soaker, running off into the gutter.
Roof soakers were traditionally made of lead, but are now available in other materials GRP, Aluminium and polypropylene. Making them the ideal alternative product to lead, which also reduces theft as they have no resale value.
